| The Position |
Project
The Fortis Merchant & Commercial Bank Business line aims to provide a specific set of financial services to institutional and business customers. Fortis Information Services & Technology (IST) provides software development (IS) and datacenter operation (IT) for the Fortis commercial business lines. Within IT, 2nd line dedicated teams (Application Services teams) support the IT infrastructure of therelated Business line.
The team ‘IT Application Services MB CIB + Commercial Bank\' is responsible for the IT support of the QA and Production environments and operates from Brussels (BE) and Woerden (NL)...
Required knowledge and experience
Required level and content of education - University degree or High School degree
Personal skills
Mandatory: Ability to analyze and to understand technical requirements that may have an impact on the operability and the support of complex banking applications related to the Murex environment.
Able to work both in a team as well as independently.
Ability to work in a stressful environment
Preferable: Capable to estimate the impact of incidents
Sense of the urgency in the resolution of incidents
Business experience required
Mandatory: At least 2 years of professional experience in Murex applications support.
Responsible for the availability and the performance of the applications in line with the agreed SLA Preferable: Used to work in an ITIL based support organization with multiple 2nd and 3rd level support teams dedicated to specifics platforms and dedicated software systems.
Technical experience required
Mandatory: Strong technical background in IT.
Good knowledge of IT environments
Able to work with a team of highly qualified IT experts
Experience with batch scheduling (Control-M) as a plus.
Experience with monitoring systems (Tivoli) is as a plus
Functional experience required
Mandatory: Able to understand and analyze complex applications issues that could be related to the software language or to the bank applications
Able to document all new applications installed and keep the documentation up to date
Coordinate and implement changes in the QA and Production environment

Within Fortis Service Operation organization, Applications Services Merchant Bank Global Market and Commercial bank provide second line level support for Murex applications environment in Fortis bank. The support covers Europe, the United States and Asia.
Location : Brussels
Languages : Excellent English writing and verbal skills, French and/or Dutch is a plus
