The IT Technical manager is responsible for ensuring the provision of underpinning technical expertise and support of the IT and telephony infrastructures. The main objectives for the IT Technical Manager are to: Provide the required technical excellence to properly develop and maintain IT and telephony services provided by ICTSS, Provide a suitable and stable ICT environment that can evolve or adapt to meet the future needs of the Trusts, Deliver new systems, and system updates, as designed, planned and agreed, establish and manage system monitoring and alerts (inputs into IT Operations for reactive support and proactive support through trend analysis), Manage a Technical Design Authority (TDA) to ensure suitability of all proposed technical changes and to support the Change Process, Ensure that documentation and guidance regarding standards, procedures and architectures used by ICTSS are adhered to, Ensure the ongoing maintenance of infrastructure documentation is completed, Provision of 3rd line support to the Operations Service Desk processes, Supplier Management, research and development associated with new technologies. |
