Role: Data Migration Expert (Contract) - URGENT Requirement

Job description:

-       We need someone who understands the Data Migration issues

-       Take overall responsibility for identifying and assessing impact and delivery criteria to the desired end result for each agreed Workstream while maintaining a focus on key areas such as Time, Cost & Quality

o    Particular emphasis will be on:

1.    Source Extraction Content

2.    Source to Target Mapping Processes and Requirements

3.    Reconciliation, Quality and Data Integrity

4.    Post Migration Operability of Legacy platform.

o    Needs to have done a few data migrations – needs to be battle scarred in DM and needs to add value in the process

o    Needs to give advice re. how this is to be done - how data is moved from legacy systems to newer systems

o    How do you plan, transfer and then reconcile

o    Needs to have assisted and led DM exercises (so can be a bit junior also – but must be very good at his subject)

o    Needs to be business focussed and client facing.

-       He/she will need Life and Pensions experience

-       Data is mostly policies, customer data, broker data – usual problems – different data structures, physical systems etc.

-       Initially 6 months, can go for 18mths
